Hi, I am Australian who is soon to be relocating to the UK (London). I currently am a IOSH Grad, have an Australian Bachelor degree in H&S, a post grad in Human Factors and have worked in the Aviation industry as Cabin Crew for 10 years. I am wondering which NEBOSH certificate would give me a greater advantage of finding employment in the UK ? I am contemplating completing a 'NEBOSH National Certificate in the Management of Health and Well-being at Work', however many people have advised me that UK employers really value environmental studies so I'm wondering if completing a 'NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management' instead would open more doors? Hi, Thanks so much for your reply. So you would recommend firstly doing the NEBOSH national general certificate as apposed to one of their specialists wellbeing or environmental certificates? After 3 years of H&S studies for my bachelor I feel I might be doubling up by completing the general certificate but I guess it's the best way to bridge my knowledge and learn all the UK/EU legislation (as you mentioned). Certainly lots to consider, thanks for your input :)

One cost/time saving suggestion in that case might be to buy a NEBOSH textbook and just book yourself on the General Certificate exams rather than a whole course?

Can you self study for the CERT I know you can't for the diploma

Thanks everyone! Interesting that I could potentially just sit the NGC-1 exam instead of completing an entire classroom course. I never knew that and this could be a huge time saver for me and a good option to bridge my knowledge to the UK :)
