Some really brillaint topics being discussed here, so I wondered if I could start my first ever?

My name is Anna and I am a CMIOSH qualified professional who has recently moved to the United States though I hope to work in both the UK and USA as a consultant. I am currently getting my CSP. I am willing to post information  to help anyone as I find it, but I wanted to make contact with anyone in a similar position, who might be willing to share ideas and information. So far I know the important things are taxes, insurance and not feeling completely overwhelmed!

Seriously though. to anyone thinking of doing this, the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) has a good reciprocal agreement with IOSH, so I would recommend starting with membership to them.

Id be interested to hear what others have found out, for example, any good insurance companies to recommend?
