I am a CMD Consultant and currently have CMIOSH MIIRSM MCIOB

Do you think it is worth getting the CMAPS?

I have looked at the requirements to get this and it isn’t easy, but is there any realistic value? In terms of getting a higher paid job or looking more attractive to potential employees?

I have also looked into this and it does actually look quite difficult to reach the 22 points unless you have qualifications coming out of your ears. I am also CMIOSH and FIIRSM but even then it still seems that I will be a couple of points v short of the 22 points required. The HSE accept CMIOSH as an acceptable level of competence when it comes to complying with CDM2015. I agree with you, I am not entirely sure what I would gain from it, but that is just my personal opinion.

The tricky part is getting the minimum four points in the design criteria.

Maybe in the future this will set out the difference between the top level CDM Advisors? just a thought.
