Hello all,

Can you advise what formal processes a company must follow if an Improvement or Prohibition Notice is served? Its never actually happened and I understand what the law states, but more interested in the actual experience, tips how to navigate through the process etc.

Thanks

Barry

HSE Website http://www.hse.gov.uk/enforce/enforcementguide/notices/notices-types.htm gives a good guide.

If you are going to receive a notice the inspector will be on site and will explain it to you, including the appeal procedures. If you appeal an improvement notice it is temporarily stayed pending the appeal, if you appeal a prohibition notice it remains in force.

Then factor if Fee For Intervention, all of the time expended by the inspectors may be billed and adds up quite quickly.
