Hi. I work in Cumbria where One project is ongoing in six different local authority areas around the county. On the F10 form you get one option. Would this be where you are based in the county as this cant mean six forms? Also the local authorities have changed recently which isnt on the HSE drop down list anyway. Any advise please

Hi Paul

You have stumbled on one of the many issues with the online F10 system!!

My suggestion is that you do F10 in hard copy and send it by snail mail to HSE at Bootle. Leave them to work out how THEY want to enter it onto the F10 system.

If they get it wrong and attempt to say that you failed to submit an F10 for work in such and such local authority area, then you simply show them the original and tell them they are wrong.

NOTHING in CDM 2015 says you have to use the online system. CDM has a Schedule that tells you what hou have to notify to HSE, not the method by which you do this.

In the early days of notification it was easy. You just emailed the relevant HSE office. But HSE stopped that, telling me that the relevant email addresses were only to be used for asbestos notifications. So, if HSE want everything to go via Bootle that is HSE's problem, not yours.
