Hi all,

I am currently looking for a bit of inspiration regarding fire risk assessment for events.

I am a Director for the business and although our current FRA is ok, it could be better. The event is a three-day event featuring celeb chef cooking demos and approx 450 exhibitors. Numbers in the region of 6-7K per day, mostly exhibition halls, some external.

Guidance on event safety is pretty hard to come by, but specifically fire safety.

If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

There is a HM Government guide "Fire Safety Risk Assessment Open Air Events and Venues.  Probably the guide I would use.

Amazon has it for £28.30 but I'm sure other outlets will have it as well.

I assume that you are aware of the HMG suite of Fire Safety Guides

Each cover numerous types of risks from offices to animal premises and everything in between

The Large Places of Assembly Guide is perhaps a good place to start......... or perhaps employ a fire safety consultant for peace of mind

And the big venues (assoc. of Event Venues) got together and made this: eGuide - AEV
