I'm looking for your thoughts on fire protection for / from electical intakes. I've recently taken on responsibility for a building housing 3 flight simulation devices which sit in a large hall and each receive power via its own computer room, each equipped with its own electrical intake. I'm from a residential background and was surprised to see the computer rooms housing the electrical intakes were not proper fire compartments and do not have fire doors to them. Any thoughts on whether these rooms need to be proper fire compartments, or is there something about the nature of the building being commercial that means this is not a requirement?
