Hello.

I hope everyone is well and safe.

I am researching the scope of competencies for installers of parcel lockers (i.e. amazon, inpost) and I got stuck on electrical aspect of it.

Parcel lockers must be anchored and connected to electric installation (240v).

My friend insist ECS card would be enough for a person to connect parcel locker.

My question is why ECS and if so - what tier/type?

Apologies, I am not a specialist in this area hence I am reaching out for help.

Thank you in advance and have a good day.

ECS is a card scheme seeking to address the grail of competence.

The HSE and legislation, whilst using the word, give no practical guidance on what it should look like.

You also have the challenge that all lockers are not equal in their inherent risks to address - indoor / outdoor use, "mains" powered or solar panel c/w battery etc.

I would set the challenge backwards and be asking the manufacturer to define who would be competent to install their equipment especially with the newer modular approach.
