Hi all

I am getting mixed messages on how often emergency lighting should be inpected/ servived by a competant person. Is it 12 or 6 monthly?

Hi James, one for the fire specialists here, but since nobody has answered your question I will start the ball rolling.

Your starting point is BS5266 Part 1 "Code of practice for emergency lighting of premises" which I think indicates monthly and annual inspections (with different levels of what is to be done).

It is an annual test: https://www.thefpa.co.uk...ency-lighting-be-tested-

The monthly test is requred too, but can be done inhouse.
