Hi All, I am relatively new to IoSH and wanted to find out more information about how I can get involved in branch meetings / seminars etc. I am based in the south and would be near to either Bristol or Reading area. Hopefully someone may be able to point me in the right direction.

I get emails with details of events at my local branch (which happens to be Bristol). As far as I know this happens so long as you sign up as a member of the branch (by ticking a box when you join or renew your membership, and otherwise I think you have to email IOSH to update your memberships) and don't opt out of the relevant communications.
You can just turn up to the meetings, even if you are not a member of the branch. You may be able to find them on the IOSH website (they are not meant to be secret meetings but are perhaps not listed in a particularly helpful form).
I think it is possible to sign up as a member of more than one branch.
There is also an organisation called AOSH which has a programme of events in Bristol, sometimes jointly with the IOSH branch but also independently of it. You can also just turn up to these. Their programme is here: https://www.aosh.org.uk/program-2025.html
IOSH is trying to rebrand branches as 'communities' but I still think of them as branches ...

Hi KT As Kate has indicated IOSH has recently rebranded "Branches" and "Groups" as "Communities".
Listed at Communities | IOSH
It might still be the case that you can only join ONE of what used to be "Branches".
When "Groups" were set up, an IOSH Member could join as many Groups as they liked though for a while there was an increased annual fee for anyone who joined several, but that top up fee got dropped many years back.
In terms of geography your local Communities would be "Bristol and West" and "Thames Valley".
The former "Groups" are listed under the heading "Industry" at the bottom of the page linked above.
As Kate says any IOSH Communities meeting should be open to any IOSH Member whether they are signed up to the relevant "Community" or not. I'm in Scotland but regularly get emails inviting me to meetings in places like the Middle East as a meeting might be notionally jointly hosted by e.g. the former Qatar "Branch" (which I am not part of) and the former Construction "Group" to which I signed up.
