Posted By Andrew Dunderdale Urgent need for a Site Safety Manager in a high pressure and dynamic construction environment for approximately 3-4 months. Working on behalf of one of the main sub-contractors you will be responsible for managing the HSE issues on a day to day basis. Close liaison with the Principal Contractor will play a major part of the role together with communication with the other sub contractors HSE teams. Responsibilities will include development and approval of risk assessments and method statements, permit to work systems, induction training, safety co-ordination meetings, site inspection and audit. The successful applicant will have a thorough working knowledge of construction practice, particularly in relation to steel erection, hold corporate membership of MIOSH, a professional health and safety qualification, be IT literate and possess excellent communication/presentation skills.
