Posted By Robert Wood I am a qualified Building Surveyor with lots of experience of CDM etc, I am looking to make the move to construction health and safety, could anyone recommend what qualifications I would need to break in to this line of work?

Posted By Dave Wilson Rob, Find it quite sad that no one from the 'Official' safety world etc has responded, so I will even though I have not worked in Construction safety for a while. Would suggest that you do A NEBOSH Construction Cert and General H&S Cert. Would also suggest that you do a foundation Certificate in Environmental issues as this will make you more marketable. This may take a year or two to achieve. There is also Distance learning from course providers and universities, dont want to name them etc. Have a look at the NEBOSH www or even IOSH and British safety Council.
