However, if you progress to the next stage of your TUC studies you will be entitled to apply for the TUC Occupational Safety and Health certificate which holds more weighting than the Nebosh General Certificate. If successful IOSH accredits candidates with the TECH SP status. regards Terry

Posted By Mike Miller Conkey TUC courses are good grounding and as good a place to start as any. Many of us out there probably launched a career with the same union back ground. It does no harm to tackle safety issues from the sharp end (on the shop floor)as an employee. That way you can get an of appreciation what can go wrong, how and by who. You tend to develop an opinion on management too which is not a bad idea from a self preservation point of view. Yep! its all good experience. Mike
