Could experienced practitioners/Consultancies please advise?
I have recently left academia/biotechnology sector where I was a Biological Safety Officer (see my thread in this Career Forum 05.09.04). I am entertaining the possibility of establishing a Biological Safety Consultancy. As part of my market research I would be very grateful if there are any experienced practitioners who might be able to say whether they consider there to be a market for such a service (eg within the biotechnology sector or otherwise), or possibly Consultants who might give me their opinion as to whether there is a niche out there that I could help.
Thank you.

Vin,
In the world of business I would suggest that if you have identified a niche market go 4 it, bad karma mate to suggest it and let evry person in the Safety Consultacy world in on it!!!
Its business my son!

Dave.
I think you misunderstood my initial thread. I was asking for advice and considered opinion from experienced practioners as to whether THEY thought there may be a niche for the specialised area of biological safety and how this may be served. As you indicate, business MAY be dog eat dog, but my area of safety is not generally covered by most H&S practitioners and I was using this forum (as is it intended) to gain advice from fellow professionals on this possible career move.
Any considered thoughts and opinions still welcome!!
