The next course after the Certificate would generally be a diploma, but do you have any experience? You might want to work in safety for 1-2 years prior to starting a diploma, its a lot of hard work and a big step to take if you have not worked in safety before and therefore do not necessarily know if it is going to be right for you. There are lots of small courses you can do on Risk Assessment, manual handling etc but these would cost. In my opinion, the only other significant course to do before diploma would be the NEBOSH construction certificate but I would discuss this with your training provider first as I believe there is some cross over between this and the standard cert.
