Posted By Mike IOSH /ASSE Global best practices in contactor safety - London 12/10/2000 Just a note to congratulate Sarah Hamiliton and her team at IOSH & ASSE and including Black & Veatch the events sponsors, regarding an excellent day, particluarly the round table discussions / syndicate exercise. The feedback was invaluable. I would enquire would it be posible to sumarise the feeback presentations on this site or in THSP?.

Posted By Ian Waldram Good to have your feedback - it seems typical of those who were there. ASSE have run US-based events like this before, but it was a 1st for us. All with whom I've spoken indicate that it exceeded their expectations, so naturally we've started thinking about how we can build from it - possibly via other SG's which have a direct parallel in ASSE's Practice Specialities. Sarah is away on other international business in Hong Kong for a week, so I'll respond in her place, and summarise what we agreed with ASSE representatives yesterday. Yes, we'll publish a summary of the 'round table' points made, not sure of the timing yet - but a high priority for Sarah when she returns from HK. However these will probably need some fleshing out to make much sense to anyone not there on the day. Therefore we may try to work with ASSE and produced a 'more complete' version of what both parties judge to be good practice. As we've not attempted a joint publication before, don't know how this will work. But Sarah would be pleased to hear from individuals willing to join a small 'task force' for this - please reply personally by phone or the CONTACT US button, rather than this Forum.
