Posted By Bryn Maidment To enhance an existing training programme in my hospital I am looking to develop a very short, snappy session mainly consisting of humourous anecdotes from other staff. Sounds bizarre and I don't know if it'll work but I'm going to try. Does anyone out there have any safety related cartoons I could use? I don't mean clipart type ones (unless of course they are funny) but captioned ones from mags and newspapers. The more bizarre, caustic, darkly humorous the better. If you think you have any please e.mail me and I'll give you address / fax details etc,or just e.mail them. I will share the end result with contributors if and when it's completed. Many thanks for anything. Bryn

Posted By Ciaran McAleenan Bryn, Have a look at Darwin Awards Site. No cartoons, but lots of excellent anecdotes. I have used a few of them in training programs and in articles that I have produced. http://www.darwinawards.com/index.htm Also, http://www.twsseminars.com/default.htm (Safety stuff) http://www.tedgoff.com/safe.html (20 safety cartoons by Ted Goff - Already mentioned but you have to pay $100 per cartoon for the rights to use them.) http://u2.lvcm.com/aeaton/safetyhumor.html (Alan’s safety humour site) WARNING: Be prepared to spend some time on these sites. There are lots of very funny items on them. Good luck and let me know how you get on. I would be happy to publish your finished work if you are interested. Ciaran mailto:ciaran@confinedspaces.com

Posted By Lance Morgan Bryn There are lots of sites with medical cartoons some of which have a safety theme. Try http://www.medlaff.com or do a search with nursing cartoons/humour.
