Request expert advise on Safety Officer's scope of work on a construction site. Especially when safety officer is asked to take the reponsibility and duty of a housekeeping team of 10 men to supervise and get the housekeeping work done on a daily basis. The Safety Officer should accept it or not.

Check your job description!

Your employer can request you undertake the duty, but you have to think about the impact it has on your current job role i.e. time available, knowledge and competency, conflicts with current role.
If your job description is currently very specific about your role and responsibilities it may be easier to turn it down - if not, you may find yourself open to having all sorts of additional jobs added to your working week!
