Posted By Jim Walker I'm trying to freshen up some H&S training programs I do - H&S induction training etc. I want to include some data to show how the benefits outweigh the "red- tape" of UK H&S requirements. I've seen HSE data that shows a list of deaths per 100K of workers in EEC contries but it does not compare like with like. Xenophobic I know, but one thing that always raises a smile is if you can show we have a superior system to other counrties - Chris Tarrant has made a career out of it! Can anyone advise ?

Posted By Laurie I personally find that telling people how well they are doing tends to breed complacency. Far better to say that the Germans or the French have a much better safety record than us! Even if it's not true one can always find some method of interpreting the statistics to support the argument! Laurie
