Posted By aidan best I am taking the plunge after a long absence from real employment, having previously been self employed, in undertaking the Diploma Pt 1 on a day release basis in the very near future. Are there any websites in addition to this excellent site that members can recommend for accessing ready up to date information. I completed my Nebosh cert back in 94 and my bank of useful publications went on a magical mistery tour

Posted By Tony Overbury Aidan A good place to start is by following some of the links available from this site. Try: www.iosh.co.uk/about/links.cfm. You might also find the HSE's site useful: www.hse.gov.uk. Other links that might be of interest are: The Department of Transport, Local Government and Regions: www.detr.gov.uk; HMSO: www.hmso.gov.uk; and, perhaps, Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs: www.defra.gov.uk. Hope this helps, but please email me if you require further assistance. Tony Overbury

Posted By Philip McAleenan Aidan, visit my website, www.web-safety.com There is a lot of excellent free material there, much of it produced by many regular contributers to this forum, and by international safety experts in a variety of specialisms. In addition the hot sites pages have many links to statutory and useful private sector sites related to OSH and Environment Philip
