Posted By Frances Robinson I wonder if anyone has any information about the hairdryers used in salons in the 60s and 70s. In particular any information about them containing asbestos. Any information will be gratefully received and followed up.

Posted By Robert Woods Asbestos may have been used to hold the element in place but the chances of contamination from this source would be remote. There have been numerous cases of hair dressers contracting mesothelioma from cutting the hair af people who were heavily contaminated with asbestos fibres. If you would like more info don't hesitate to contact me by email or on 01535 664462. Robert Woods
