Posted By Con.. We have just opened a new Health & Beauty Spa were we are using Bromo -Chloro 5,5 Dimethylhydanition as a bath disinfectant instead of Chlorine. We are using it in granular form and according to the label it is an Oxidant and Irritant. Does anyone have experience with a similar chemical - & what controls sholud be in place within the plant room? When the bath water is being pumped with this disinfectant should staff be in the room?

Posted By Ken Taylor Only elemental Bromine. The suppliers of the dosing equipment should provide information on safe use. You could try contacting Mr Bartier via the Swimming Pool Owners Pages on http://www.caromal.co.uk.
