Posted By Neil Tonge Use of DSE, driving (especially with mobile phones), lone working (Suzie Lamplugh), violence (as in any job dealing with the public), stress, use of electrical equipment (as in any office - PAT testing & 16th edition wiring checks). Just a few things that immediatly jumped to mind. Hope this gets you started, Neil

Posted By Karen Todd Lone working is one that springs to mind - perhaps going to show someone you don't know around an empty house on your own. Violence and aggression. Moving house is one of the most stressful events in your life and if things aren't going someones way they can get aggressive, e.g. "Why isn't my house sold yet? What are you doing about it?". I know of people who have been absolutely furious when they have been gazumped and lost a house they had set their heart on. Also, some of the houses that they go to survey to put a value on may be in poor condition. If they are out and about, do they have a company car? Or do they use their own car? Driving licence and insurance checks? Regards, Karen

Posted By Shane Johnston First aid (and being able to summon help) while out and about. Some properties may be some distance from the office in remote locations, you should consider driving conditions /weather and the potential for being stuck overnight. Shane

Posted By Paul Bellis Alo pets and pests can be an issue. i.e. dangerous dogs (or cats) and some properties can be infested with unwelcome guests - fleas etc. Food hygene issue - just think of the programme life of grime and you get the picture as to what can be encountered!
