Posted By James Larkin Can anyone advise of requirements for lighting levels in toilet areas which also have shower facilities. Is the a minimum lux level? What is the situation if you have staff with restricted vision. Energy saving bulbs seem to be less luminous and take sometime to warm up.

Posted By Bob Youel Energy saving bulbs are generally less bright than their old equivalent & all staff should have adequate lighting available for their individual needs!
This is a problem cause designers etc are specifying certain things and individuals do not come into the situation. Even the government is looking to phase out the old for the new even thought they know of the problems
RA and then argue the case as referenced Lux levels are only guides
