Posted By mark limon Given HAVs reasonably high profile Im surprised that there doesn't seem to be any courses which offer a recognised qualification. Although gaining the qualification isn't a real concern the existence of one lends some credibility to the content of the course I have searched google without any success for a course within 50 miles(and more)of Middlesbrough. I know IOSH did accredit a course that Woodland Grange runs but no longer do so ??. Can IOSH or anyone recommend a good course at a reasonable price (self funding) in the North East

Posted By Rob35 I did a good Audiometric Competent Person course with Castle Group and I know they do Noise and Vibration, so might be worth checking them out. Based in Scarborough

Posted By Gary Clarkson I recently did a HAVS course at HSE solutions in Glasgow, which I found to be very good indeed. I have no affiliation to the company, but can wholeheartedly recommend them. their website is: http://www.hse-solutions.co.uk/

Posted By MLong I too did this course with Castle in November last year. Found it very informative and have been using the equipment since coming back from the course to complete all of our vibration and noise assessments.
Definitely worth the money and travel.

Posted By Saz G I too can recommend The Castle Group. Their MD was speaker at a recent IOSH Branch meeting on Controlling Vibration at Work and I am also attending one of their free workshops in September. I found him an extremely knowledgeable and informative speaker.
