For info the plant is gas fed with fuel systems back up in tanks. We are just at commissioning phase. I need to know what amount of fire protection we need with fire extinguishers.

Posted By Paul Bob, we have in place on site, fire watches present, for hot works, in locations, where this work is been carried out We have done in sections, that is divided up the site, for distribution of fire extinguishers, within buildings e.g steam turbine building. I am just unsure as to do we have the proper amount for the works that are taking place. I know the rule of thumb is never to be more than 30 ft from a fire extinguisher but has this changed do we require further extinguisher's to be provided. We have at locations the necessary fire extinguishers e.g water/foam/powder/Co2 in relation to the fire risks contained within. I just want to find out do is there a set standard for fire extinguishers at this stage of construction/commissioning power plant
