Hi,

Does anyone have any idea where I can get a good first aid assessment from? As we, don't have one which is applicable to all areas-multi site, fixed and non fixed. I am trying to determine first aid and fire warden (?) requirements, numbers etc. HSE guidance useful but.... The deadline for this was before I joined the company so I have inherited it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Sarah.

The RA process is the same as you would use for most situations albeit you will come up with control measures relating to FA at Work.

Additionally you are the only person who can populate the boxes with relevant factors to come up with those measures i.e. workforce - size, age, health. Hazards specific to your workplace etc.

Try the HSE website they give excellent advice.

The ACOP on the Regs has a good guide to First aid assessments in it. Note they refer to it as an assessment and not a risk assessment.

We are in the process of developing an on-line first aid risk analysis, which should be available by the early July. Guidance for the current regulations are currently available from our website
