Posted By Alison Gillings As a Company we import an amount of furniture containing E2 MDF. Our agent is informing that they have heard of a "new" regulation for furniture containing MDF which is to be sold in the UK. I am currently at a loss as to where this information may have eminated. Any one aware?

Posted By Nick Patience MDF contains formaldehyde. Your supplier might be talking about the European Commission's proposals for a 3rd Indicative Occupational Exposure Limit Values (IOELV) Directive which include a Community-wide limit for formaldehyde. These proposals are currently under discussion by Member States.
