Dear all
I'm looking for confirmation from someone who can point me in the direction of some documentary proof.
I've recently joined a company who are using PASMA certified operatives to erect mobile scaffold towers on stairways to carry out maintenance tasks.
I was carrying out an onsite inspection and found the tower had castors on it. I was under the impression that they should have been using the flat base plates.
Problem is I can't find any evidence (apart from common sense) to back up my arguement.
Can anyone help me

Hi Mark,
Having just had my PASMA licence refreshed for the reasons of having the knowledge of best practice, you are correct in your view of base plates for use on staircases. This is also applicable to towers for long term use, PASMA do give this information during delivery of the course as best practice.
