Posted By fgrobotham I have been asked to advise a company acting as a principal employing contractors relatively low risk work. Contractors is not really my thing. I have advised the Principal to have the obvious things such as having safety stipulations built into the contracts, have the contractor submit a safety management plan, have a contractor safety induction and rules, do safety inspections. I am wondering what I have missed. Are there any good web-sites that cover this area? George Robotham Brisbane Australia

Posted By Mick154 Hi Not knowing your regulations i would suggest that you ask your contractors to provide a Phase Plan for how they intend to manage their activities on your site looking at all safety implications of that takes and how they manage the interface with other contractors/ person on your site Set up full site rules for safety and environments Site inductions for all There is much more you can do, this is just to get you off the ground
