Posted By BJA Good news here by the end of Oct but many people are concerned of its safety. Any comments?

Posted By Robert K Lewis I am perplexed by the fact that one person says it will be mixed into the normal seasonal flu vaccination and another government person states the opposite!! Same thing with the safety of the vaccination - why revert to different stabilisation chemicals that have had doubts raised about their use in the past? Beats me.

Posted By Adrian.Durand From a personal perspective, I fall into the bracket for automatically receiving the Flu jab and have recently had my seasonal flu injection, along with a pneumonia jab.
On speaking to the nurse at my GP practice, they are not even thinking about the swine flu jabs, and are definitely keeping them separate.
One other point, the seasonal flu vaccine has been in production for many months in preparation, and the swine flu virus has only 'recently' been put into mass production due to identifiying the strain of virus etc, so I don't think that they would be able to combine them into a single innoculation.

Posted By BJA The area of the country we are dealing with (which I cant name) will not be mixing the seasonal with the swine flu but that may be different elsewhere.

Posted By grim72 I had my seasonal flu jab a couple of weeks back, the swine flu jab will be completely seperate. Personally I doubt I will take it, from my point of view it has been rushed through without adequate testing and I don't intend to be a guinea pig.
