If there are any radiological implications for your employees, surely your client will help out?

Harry,

if its a nuclear licenced site all your employees will be inducted at the begining of the project prior to entry on site.
You can (and should)also ask to speak to the sites RPA.
If its in a radiological area you will be working under an approved scheme of work which will limit what you can and can't do.
From the brief description it seems like you will be well away from anything radiological and this is no different from any other project you may carry out.

If your guys are inside a 'dose' area your company will probably need their own RPA and at least their own RPS

To be an RPA you need a good degree [usually in physics / mathematics - I am a little out of touch] and to be an PRS you should attend the appropriate course!

Additionally get a good relationship going with EMAS and/or the appointed *doctors [many docs cannot provide the service!] as medicals can be very costly and some docs can be troublesome / others are great

All this is prior to starting on site!

Again your tender documents and client should be able to point the way

If you are not in a 'dose' area then the RPA etc situation should not arise

Harry,

Just add to Bobs post. Medicals would only be required where the employee is likely to be designated a classified worker.
The sites RPA would also act on your behalf and the dosimetry service would maintain your dose records and passport.
All this is probably irrelevant because if the job was involving radiation this would have been flagged up at the contract stage due to the additional time and effort required to get you in these areas,

John
