Can someone help me. What sort of notification should I have to demonstate that a newly built property is free from asbestos products. It there a form that I should be given and include in documentation in leiu of an asbestos register.

Morning,

As far as I know there is no specific form. The CDMC (Construction co-ordinator) should have provided the new building owners with a copy of a "building file". This will contain plans and specification which prove there is no asbestos present. But, virtually all asbestos was banned from 1999, you should not have any by default - and inspectors/the law recognises this. If you building was built after 1999, you do not need a survey/register.

As always there are tiny exceptions - but unless you illegally import asbestos containing gaskets from abroad, you don't have a problem.
