Can any one help with guidance , as a subcontactor or contractor on a clients site when prepairing a safety plan , if there is a need to supply an anchorage point to attach a harness in the event of a fall ,or a hoist in the event of retreival of a man down who is reponsible for providing that anchorage point

Taylor It all depends on the purchase contract between youselves and / or the site's safety procedures. However you must agree this beforehand. As the contractor "user", would you trust a rusty eye bolt that the site says is "Ok".? Do you want to see the test cert? Would you prefer to create your own using scaffolding etc? Most absailing teams I have seen create their oun fixing points onto RSJs. Visit the site and discuss, If you can't get an answer price to provide them. Don't assume anything. regards Peter
