Could any one please pass on to me any information regarding any basic fire safety training that might be available on PC format. The training would be aimed at employees to give them a basic knowledge of fire safety awareness. It would only be used "In House" with no profits being made by myself or my company. I have been informed that a company called Intersol UK used to do something close to what I need but no other information was given to me.
Thanks in advance,
David.

There is a computer based training programme by 'network training'which I have used, it is fairly basic and easily understood, website address is
www.networktraining.co.uk.
They also do programmes for manual handling and VDU's.

Paul Bullows produced an excellent PowerPoint presentation on basic fire safety and fire extinguishers, covering the nature of fire, fire hazards and risks, fire prevention at work, local fire procedures and how to select and use a portable fire extinguisher safely. He has made it freely available to other safety professionals to use as they need.
The presentation can be downloaded from my own website as follows;
http://www.web-safety.com/Features/exchange.htm
Just click on the presentations button and follow the contents list for that section. Paul's contact email address is there also.
Good luck with your presentation.
