Have contacted HSE for guidence but found them helpfull but not specific. Anybody out there with any guidence or tech info on the suitability of this type of floor.

An alternative could be to replace the castors on the chairs with glides, which slot into the base of the chair as a direct replacement. For new furniture glides are usually available as a no-cost or even discounted option. This has been a successful choice in numerous laboratories, particularly where the ability to cleanse the floor (labs handling pathogens for example) results in a very smooth surface material being chosen.
