Radiation Protectin Advisor or Radiation Protection Supervisor

Hi I have ionising equipment on site. Its low exposure xray line. Do i need appoinment of experienced Radiation Protectin Advisor or will be enough to train person to be competent Radiation Protection Supervisor. thanks

In the absence of other contributions, I reckon you need advice from a Radiation Protection Advisor to find out what you need. Public Health England are a good starting point, they also do training.

Hi, I agree with SNS below; you need advice from an RPA first. You'll need them to evaluate the equipment, do a risk assessment and set up Local Rules for the use of the equipment. Get yourself trained (or someone else that's suitable) as an RPS. Training for users is also key. Here's a link to a pretty good RPA that I've used before....... https://www.ionactive.co.uk/
