I was wondering if anyone can help clarify what changes have been made to part 6 of the EN131 standard for telescopic ladders earlier this year. My understanding is that there were changes made to the EN131 standard last year with regards to introducing 2 new catagories (professional and non-professional). However from what I can gather telescopic ladders (Part 6) fell outside of this review and were instead reviewed separately this year.

We’re looking to find a supplier for telescopic ladders for surveyors and just want to make what we order meets the EN131-6 standard.  I would just like to get an understanding of what changes were made including (if any) what additional safety features these should have e.g. soft close rungs, stabilising bars etc. Also if there is a new manufacturing standard and how we can check/audit i.e. stamped on the metal plate. 

Any clarification you can provide on this matter would be much appreciated.
