Hi A simple question but just need to make sure ive covered everything off, if an employee tripped over a doormat and injures themselves would this become RIDDOR reportable? Im satified they are from a reputable supplier and that the floor is a non slip surface. Does everyone include doormats in there generic spaces risk assessments?

It may become RIDDOR reportable if it results in an injury that is the type to be reported.
Yes, we used mats and consider their input in risk assessments.

Risk assessments for doormats - really?
Since when has a tripping over a doormat been a work activity? It is a life skill just like walking up/down stairs.
HSE RIDDOR guidance - 'The fact that there is an accident at work premises does not, in itself, mean that the accident is work-related – the work activity itself must contribute to the accident.'

We have a monthly inspection and would be covered by "general housekeeping" i.e. slips, trips and falls so assume that's what's meant by covered by risk assessment (rather than having a specific one just for that).

If it fell under the criteria for RIDDOR (Major Injury, off for more than 7 Days etc) I would report.
Although it wasn't caused by a work process it was caused by something that the company has introduced to the workplace i.e. if that mat wasn't there they would not have tripped over it and got injured.
I do agree its bonkers, however this is quite common, I used to be forever rolling the corners back down so I stuck the things to the floor with velcro strips.
