Quick question. If you filed a RIDDOR report beleiving it to be valid, but found out a few days later it isn't can you revoke it?
This accident happened on another employers site and they nkow a RIDDOR was raised, and want a copy, but new information came to light which means it isn't. Do I just send it anyway?

This happend to me once. We reported a RIDDOR, with the info we had at that time. New info came out to suggest other.
I called the help line but we couldnt claw it back.
I left the statistic visable (for clarity- in reports) but noted is was reported in error.

This has also happened to me, reported a RIDDOR and wanted to revoke following further information coming to light. The HSE advidsed i raise a new RIDDOR to explain but wouldn't revoke original. This had to remain in the system.
I just left it as it was and can explain if questioned from customers etc.
