I currently hold a Level 6 Dimploma in Applied Occupational Safety and Health but I am looking at advancing further. For those of you who have gone above this level, what would you suggest and why?

Hi Brett

Well over 100 viewings of your posting and no replies so perhaps there are few who have gone for a Level 7 or similar way of advancing.

Depending on your role, perhaps you could consider a different route, e.g. to broaden your qualifications and skill sets. One option would be to do an environmental qualification. May be an auditor qualification, if you will have a chance to make use of the training. Good for the CV in a world where accreditation has achieved almost religious status.

Good luck, Peter

Last year I completed the NEBOSH level 7 MSc in Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management. I self funded it myself and the main reason for doing it was to better myself and improve /secure my future for years to come.

I did consider doing a PhD, but decided against it as there was very little value to be added in my case.
