Thanks for that Peter and Pete.

I recollect that whilst working in the gul,f on a heat stress project, that info from the client-local oil/gas company, [UAE] that the management said there wasn't a problem. I enquired of a doctor at a health clinic and he assured me that there most certainly was a problem and they had the bodies to count [in country]

It was even worse, as I spoke to a superintendent -a fairly senior level of mgt and he was guarded in his response because, being from India, his position was somewhat insecure if he investigated and found the 'truth'. You know, that flexible commodity.

Changes of any major dimension are quite unlikely without massive pressure and this is unlikely given the new UK figure at the helm and, as Pete alludes to, -potential loss of money will prevent any reasonable/effective action by IOSH or action by local members.[turkeys voting for Xmas]

Boycott the footie anyone?? Even on TV!
