I am looking to enrol onto an ISO 45001 Lead Auditor course...but eLearning format. Has anyone completed this online before? If so, which course provider would you recommend. (no previous lead auditor qualification)

I would usually prefer to sit in on a course, however with leave days, holidays restrictions etc... I am unable to.

I am aware that there is an exam at the end, which i will need to be present at.

Any information will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi

i took this course last year as e learning through The knowledge Acemdey, it cost somewere around £2500 i think. It was an easy enough course and the exam was straight forward as well with multiple choice questions.

Even though i took the course i feel i havent gained much as i feel auditing comes more from experience and right now i am not getting any. Anyway thats just my thought. hope this helps!

Auditing, as a process, doesn't really change, I've attended OHSAS18001 Lead auditor training a number of years ago (5 days) and then 45001 Lead auditor a years or so ago (5 days) both through LRQA (latterly LR) I learned absolutely nothing new whatsoever and it was a monumental waste of my employers money. Auditing is auditing, all you need to understand is Annex SL and the clause structure thus, but even this is relatively 'same same'.

There's nothing in 45001 lead Auditor (auditor) that you wouldn;t have learned previously, you can swot up on Annex SL online or purchase the A5 size standard book through BSI which is invaluable as a tool for auditing.

Nothing but a money making exercise erstwhile

interesting, i never knew lead auditing could be done via e-learning.

always wondered why NEBOSH doesnt follow suit (final exam) and be online.

can you do 9001 lead auditing online?

£2500 seems really expensive to me.

I can't see how you can learn to audit effectively through an online course. Online learning can only teach you so much, such as how the standard is laid out, Annex SL, traits of an auditor etc, but how can you assess audit evidence for effectiveness?

The only way you'll audit effectively is by doing audits. If you're new to it, then a mentor or experienced auditor could accompany you on the audit, to prompt and guide.
