we are having made a concept working model of a pneumatic 3D clamp holding arm.

This is the intial prototype which we will use as a Sales demonstration model to customers

Do we need to CE mark this (I will of course complete a PUWER assessment on it)

If this launches successfully with our customers, then a full CE marked production run will follow.then

CE marks are not required on sales demonstration equipment. However you do have to display a sign and/or include in literature a statement to the effect that the itemis not for sale and does not meet current machniery directive requirements.
