I chair monthly Health & Safety Committee Meetings, consisting of representatives from all departments, the Financial Director and Managing Director. The minutes from the meetings are then displayed on the H&S notice board and intranet.

I ran very successful H&S meetings, Monthly when I workd for the Merseyside bus company MTL.

5 bus garages, all over the county, Senior Managers, Managers of all departments and Safety Reps.  Every meeting was well attended and I chaired the meetings and wrote the minutes which were distributed to all members and notice boards.

Everyone with a responsibility in the minutes was named and woe betide tham if they didn't keep up and do the necessary before the following meeting.  Trade Union Safety Reps are excellent at making their voices heard.

The metings were on different weeks of each month so I had time to print and distribute the minutes.

I hope this helps.

I chair a monthly committee however its rotated on a quarterly basis:

Month 1 - full meeting

Month 2 - Training session (topic usually picked by the committee)

Month 3 - Site walkaround (hazard spotting, engagement)
