Hi All, just a quick one regarding Accident recording in the circumstamces where lets say a contractor or delivery driver injures himself on or in his own vehicle while delivering on site. Is it the company he is delivering too's duty to record and investigate, the employer of the driver or both. I have my view but interested in other peoples opiniyon. Kind Regards Alan

Think it depends what the accident is, how and why it ocured and what the injury is. Not posible to give an answer with info supplied, but i would be supprised if not some shared responsibility.

Hi, thanks thus far I am not talking RIDDOR here i am talking general low hazard minor injury something like banging their head on their veihicle nothing to do with premises but is on your premises and referring to your own internal systems ie Accident Book entry, Investigation and logging protocols

In this case I would record it, along with any first aid or other action taken at the time, communicate with the employer if I have a contact there and leave it to them to investigate (having established by a basic level of investigation that it didn't relate to my premises or procedures).
