Posted By peter gotch Anyone know of a competent specialist contractor for cleaning up carpet spillage in a corridor in a building, ideally in Northern Ireland (though we recognise may need to be from British mainland. Peter

Posted By peter gotch Too stressed this week, hence original message did not perhaps give you enough information. We know how the job should be done, via reseach including access to HSE guidance, and various Internet sites, mostly Universities. Our problem is finding a contractor. Most of our decontamination contractor contacts are into conventional contaminated sites, ie mostly open air work, rather than working in an operational building. Most of our contacts do not want to know about this project. We have identified one potential tenderer in Dublin, one (very maybe!!) in London. Those of you in eg Higher Education, Healthcare may well have had practical experience and know of contractors who can deal with spillages from areas which predate current standards for use, ie steel trays etc etc Thanks, guys and gals Peter
