Should community nursing staff who carry medical gases in their cars be supplied with a fire extinguisher?

The BOC vehicle safety cards for medical gases make no reference to having an extinguisher onboard.
Every member of staff who carries such gases - oxygen, entonox etc. - should be given one (or a copy) of these cards to keep in their vehicle.
Contact BOC on 01483 579857 and ask for the Transport Emergency Card (Road) for the relevant gases.I believe they will provide 5 for free!
