In Scotland, we manage the distillation, bottling and distribution of our brands world-wide. Our organisation is multi-site, stretching from the Distilleries in Speyside to Warehousing operations in Ayrshire. Our Environmental Health & Safety Team play an integral part in the drive towards excellence in our facilities. From development of leading edge EHS strategies and policies to auditing existing processes and systems, this team is expected to deliver first-class performance to the business. We now seek an EHS Specialist to cover 6 sites across the Central Belt in Scotland. Salary circa £30k plus private medical insurance, pension and product allowance The purpose of the role is: To assist the Company, in becoming the recognised industry leader for effective and practical health, safety, environment and security management systems. Key Responsibilities:  To proactively conduct health, safety and security audits, risk assessments and workplace inspections, recommending remedial actions where performance standards are not being met.  To advise customers on the interpretation and implementation of Company policy, procedures and statutory provisions.  To deliver customer briefing and training sessions where deemed necessary.  To ensure the EHS Manager and key operational Managers are kept fully aware of any live issues within their areas of responsibility.  To help promote a positive health, safety and security culture within the Company.  To utilise the computerised management tools to help minimise the Company's potential liabilities and produce useful management information.  To investigate failures in established procedures and practices, identifying direct and indirect causes for failures and recommending appropriate remedial actions where required. Scope:  Reports to Business Engineering Manager  Based at Paisley Qualifications / Experience:  Educated to degree level, ideally in a relevant subject.  Holder of NEBOSH certificate or other relevant professional award.  Must have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the field of health, safety and environment Key Capabilities:  Ability to carry out effective risk and COSHH assessments.  Able to create and implement effective health, safety, environment and security procedures.  Able to conduct audits and site inspections and implement/recommend practical solutions.  Excellent communication and influencing skills.  PC and systems literate.  Ability to act as an effective member of a team.  Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate building business partnerships.
