We do things rather differently and approach health and safety with practical reality; ‘common sense’ rather than hiding behind health and safety jargon and inoperable paper systems that just gather dust!

Health and Safety initiatives are an integral element of the day-to-day activities throughout the organisation – and there are many of them! We have grown and evolved and now it’s time to progress and build on our health and safety systems.

As a member of the team you will continue our forward thinking, no-nonsense approach to health and safety, supporting and advising school and departmental managers on their risk assessments, incident investigations and safety performance.

You must possess the NEBOSH certificate as a minimum. NEBOSH Diploma Part 1 or NVQ level 3 in Health and Safety & Tech SP – will be a distinct advantage. However, consideration for training the ideal candidate will be given.

A minimum of two years experience in health and safety, with a working knowledge of current health and safety legislation, IT literacy in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint along with the ability to work on your own initiative are essential.

In order to continue our quest of influencing and effecting change, you must possess the ability to communicate effectively at all levels; this will include developing and delivering training relevant to the managers area/specialism and the production of informative, usable managerial reports to support the advice you give.
